| Job Description: | Under the direct supervision of the Project Supervisor, thoroughly reviews job project contracts as handled ensuring that its contractual conditions and terms are met, and that the project schedules are on time as planned. |
| Job Requirements: | Zamil Industrial Investment Co. is in need of PROJECT ENGINEER for Structural Steel Division of Zamil Steel; Ideal applicants should meet the following basic requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years working experience as Project Engineer in Construction site and 3 years in Steel Fabrication Shop.
• Sound knowledge on Erection Process, an advantage.
• In-depth understanding of Engineering Drawings/Blueprints.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications and Planning & Scheduling Software like MS Project, Primavera and others.
Responsibilities would include:
• Prepares Project Schedules based on customer requirements and company’s operational facilities.
• Monitors closely the Projects Planned Activities to ensure project deliverables are on time
• Updates Project Status Report as required.
• Processes suppliers’ invoices for payment releases.
• Finalizes final quantities and final contract value.
• Monitors and reports the contractual schedule with actual progress to meet the contractual agreement.
• Reviews internal and external invoicing system with the Finance and Customer.
• Follows up financial issues with Finance Department and Customer.
• Handles and controls procurement of special buyout items from different suppliers.
• Studies the scope variation of the project and controls any change in order as may be required.
• Builds consistent business relationship with all customers by attending to all their concerns and addressing their concerns with the right and appropriate solutions.
• Prepares and presents project progress reports to the customers.
• Conducts progress meeting with the internal departments and customers.
• Follows up document and drawing submittals and its approval from the customers.
• Receives and reviews the signed contracts and Customer Inquiry Form (CIF) to ensure complete understanding of the contractual obligations and commitment with the customer.
• Monitors and reports the scope of work within the contract.
• Updates the CIF system in coordination with other departments.
• Creates Projects in the ERP System through coordination with the Cost Engineer.
• Coordinates with custom clearance department for customer-issued materials or special buyout materials procured from outside the Kingdom.
• Tracks and controls all customer revision through contract change order management.
• Updates status of drawing releases from customers.
• Monitors issuance of latest version of CIF / Change Order, customer’s detailed drawings to and from customers and ZS departments.
