| Job Description: | Under the Mechanical Foreman, attends the production job requests for corrective works; ensures the machines are in good working condition; repairs all hand tools and standby equipment. |
| Job Requirements: | Zamil Industrial Investment Co. is in need for Mechanic in Zamil Steel - PED. Ideal applicants should meet the following basic requirements:
• Diploma or International Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Mechanic.
• Minimum of 3-5 years working experience as Mechanic or any equivalent position in machine maintenance.
• Must have hands-on exposure or experiences in Machine Maintenance
Responsibilities would include:
• Identifies the nature of breakdown/problem and determines the appropriate maintenance needed and equipment selection.
• Carries out the works order as per Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
• Files and reports the works of calibration.
• Carries out repairs as per job request.
• Ensures the machine is repaired and is in good working condition.
• Hands over the machine to production as soon as the repair is completed.
• Keeps the machine surrounding clean.
• Observes properly the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, face masks and the like while inside the shop-floor.
• Provides safety barriers across or around machine.
• Provides covers for all moving rotating parts.
• Consults with the immediate head for troubleshooting or corrective actions as and when needed.
• Immediately notifies the immediate head for any incidence of damage in the machine.
• Coordinates and communicate with the Production for repair and PPM work schedules.
Skills
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, benefits, repair and maintenance.
• Average Communication Skills in English Language
• Ability to identify problems and determine appropriate maintenance and equipment selection.
• Awareness of Health & Safety Environment Practices
• High Degree of Flexibility.
• Physical Dexterity |
