| Job Description: | Provide server administration as part of the Systems Administration Group to Linux Servers located at Sahara Net data centers located in our network. Duties include provisioning new servers, imaging, monitoring and other daily routines. Provide escalation support via phone and e-mail. Lead new deployments from the systems perspective by coordinating with customers and internal resources. |
| Job Requirements: | Related Experience:
•3+ years Linux Server administration experience
•Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience
•Red Hat Certification Engineering experience is preferred
•Solaris, SuSE,CentOS and other Linux distributions experience is a plus
•Windows 2000/2003 is a plus
•Solid experience with multi-server environment / deployments
•Ability to gather requirements, design and implement appropriate solutions
•Strong process oriented experience in terms of implementation and completion
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
•Minimum of Bachelor degree in computer engineering/ Science, IT, or any related field.
•Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers (networking and storage)
•Familiarity with databases and web programming languages and automation
•High Availability and failover scenarios, load balanced environments
•Strong working knowledge of storage environments (SAN, NAS)
•Software experience with Apache, PHP, Sendmail, postfix, LDAP, Radius, bind, clustering
•Real-time experience with web hosting support control panels: CPanel, Ensim, Plesk, DirectAdmin.
•Automation via scripting (Perl, Python, Shell)
•File Replication, File System Tuning, Upgrading and Configuring
•have experience with VMware virtualization
•Troubleshooting
•Disaster Recovery
•Ability to work well with customers and in a cross-team environment and to mentor within teams
•Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. |
