Job Description:
Project a Weekly Sales Target / Forecast for a 16 week period in advance for the department.
Prepares a detailed Sales Target for each of his sub-areas for a 4-5 week period ahead.
Schedule activities to ensure target achievement by account by area.
Implement market programs and provide feedback on results with recommendations.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with all customers and ensure achievement of “PREFERRED SUPPLIER STATUS”.
Ensure all accounts have up-to-date credit approval and are within agreed terms and limits.
Ensure the department is performing to the agreed and updated ‘standards’ as signed off by the Management.
Responsible for day-to-day supervision and effectiveness of direct reports.
Responsible for sales and expense statistics for the department and initiate action to improve on budget.
Ensure the department is fairly compensated, well motivated by fairness and work compatibly with all in the region.
Maintain discipline and recommend disciplinary action after investigation on all cases.
Ensure the targeted ITMO audits by self and team are conducted on a timely basis and accurate way.
Identify training needs and recommend professional skills development for the department
Prepare and conduct quarterly, half yearly and annual “Account performance Reviews” with the decision makers of each customer in the department.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly department reports as agreed with regard to Sales by Account, by pack in detail, Competitors activity, market trends / news, etc.
Ensure Call Record Books (Customer Service Sales Book) are updated regularly by Key Accounts Representatives.
Update Regional Manager on timely basis on competitive activity in key accounts / wholesale channel.
Cost conscious in implementation of marketing activity with various customers and positive customer evaluation.
Job Requirements:
University Degree, preferably Business Administration
Age: 30 years, sound physical and mental health.
Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in FMCG Sales Management
Supervision – preferably within soft drinks / fresh dairy business.
